What Customers Say About Uniden DCX200 DECT 6.0 Accessory Handset and Charging Cradle for the DECT2000/DECT 3000 Series Phones (Silver):

The unit(s), themselves, work great. Several months ago I purchased this phone, which included the BASE unit with 3 handsets/bases & chargers for $99.00. The price that iSave wants for one unit, (handset) is way too high.

Finally wound up at Target and buying a 3 handset new phone system. Clear sound, lots of features.Just do not buy into the "expandable". Total disappointment. On the plus side it IS a very good phone. Buy the set with as many phones as you need to start with. New handset would never "find" existing hand set.Handset had different charger base so you could not place the new handset in the existing base. Alternative method of registering never worked.Calling the help line only resulted in a rude woman saying "read the manual" and hanging up.

Was out of town, came back after a week and did the same process all over again, still searching. so I am over that time frame, will be interesting to see if they give me any refund.

This may be an expensive lesson for me. I do not recommend purchasing this type of product on the internet, do it in a store, costco carriers uniden and I bought a set there and it works just fine.

Charged the phones, plugged everything in, and all I got was searching. Am going to return the phones and when I went back to where I ordered it, it had to be returned within 30 days of when I placed the order.

In the amazon review process it makes you select at least one star for you satisfacation of the product, I would not have given them any stars. Moved it to two other outlets and got the same thing.

sent email to uniden website after trying to reach a human on their customer service number, good luck with that, but after 8 days still no response.

Steel garage doors or roofs will block the signal, but otherwise the reception is perfect all over my property and indeed, 2 houses up the sidewalk. Also, the battery gauge is like some gas gauges - it moves slowly for the first half, and very quickly on the second. That's it. You can dial in the dark and the rubber gives the phone a grip when you set it down on the arm of a chair. HAVING a batt-gauge is an improvement over all my prior phones, and these tiny, lightweight nickel-metal hydride batteries are half the size of my old phone's Ni-Cads, while easily going 4 or 5 days off the charger.

I love this system. There are only two minor flaws, and everything else is A+. Of course, besides range and clarity, the 1.9GHz frequency lets me put the base station right next to my wireless router without any interference.Speaking of the base, like the handsets it has a very good speakerphone. The menu system may appear daunting at first, but quickly becomes intuitive. For some reason the Intercom/Find function beeps at the unit you're dialing from as well as the one you're calling.

Conversely, I think a full battery will give 4 or 5 hours of talk. The ergonomics are great, with perfectly lit rubber-buttons. That, combined with the dialing pad, come in very handy when you don't have a handset nearby. All in all a nearly perfect system at a great price. This means you have to get away from that one to hear & find the other one. Everything else is flawless.

Go ahead, I dare you to try to find a phone number listed on Uniden's website.Furthermore, the other major bad point about this phone is that the number keys that you press to actually dial the phone are NOT individual buttons that you can press. Scroll through your redial history3. and they never emailed back. Scroll through caller ID information2.

Access your address book (if you use one; I don't).Since I don't use an address book on my phone, I don't really use that square button as much as most people do. Furthermore, we have found that because the horizontal rows of buttons are nothing more than one gigantic button, the phone does not always respond to our finger presses at all -- we have to press VERY HARD to get it to respond to our button presses. This did not happen at all on our previous Uniden 2.4 GHz phone, because each one of the buttons was an INDEPENDENT & UNIQUE BUTTON.Plus, it gets even harder to press these buttons over time, because these buttons become more unresponsive to your touch. On the plus side, these are the good points about the phone which we enjoyed during the first 6 months: Great sound quality, very easy ability to add extra handsets throughout your house without the need for any additional phone jacks, fully-featured phone with all the features that you would need (ringer off ability, belt clip, headset-compatible, speakerphone, mute ability, voicemail indicator, caller ID history, easy-to-use menus and instruction booklets). Also, as you probably already know, the DECT 6.0 technology uses the 1.9 GHz frequency, so it will not interfere with your wireless devices around the house (computers, routers, TiVo, Roku Netflix box, etc). When i first bought this phone 6 months ago, I had posted a 4-star review on the phone which I have now deleted. You see, what you'll notice about most reviews on amazon.com is that people write the reviews after playing with their new product for only a couple of days while it's still brand new. I use it strictly to access 1, 2, and 3 above. However, after only 6 months of light usage, that square button is almost completely unresponsive. I emailed Uniden about getting a replacement handset or a repair to his handset.

Uniden's customer service is horrible. Each horizontal row of 3 buttons is actually ONE GIGANTIC HORIZONTAL BUTTON, which makes it more difficult to press the individual button that you want to press without looking at the phone. that are broadcasting at either 2.4 GHz (802.11b/g) or 5.8 GHz (802.11n).But, considering the phone starts breaking down after only 6 months of very light usage, you are NOT getting a good deal for your money here.I would recommend looking elsewhere for a phone. Although Uniden did indent the middle button on each row, it's not indented enough for you to feel where each button begins & ends. You have to try to push it down as hard as you possibly can with your thumb, and hope that the phone will somehow register your finger press. Go ahead and zoom into the photo of the phone to see what I'm talking about.

But now that I have owned this phone for 6 months, I can tell you from 6 months worth of experience to stay away from this phone because the buttons stop working in about that timespan. For example, the big square button near the center of the phone is a very important button, because it lets you:1. Plus, their website lists NO PHONE NUMBERS for the company. now can take MINUTES of frustration as you try to press that button.And. Set your ringer volume, and 4. What used to take a few moments to adjust the ringer volume or scroll through caller ID.
